As a platform, DHIS2 is designed to facilitate interoperability and integration both between DHIS2 instances and with other software applications and data sources through a combination of open and well-documented integration tools and the use of shared standards. DHIS2 promotes integration and interoperability as practices that can help countries achieve their goals of strengthening health information systems through more effective data use.
